The birds and the bees

Ok, so I've been putting off giving my 11 year old daughter "the talk".  Today I finally decided to dive in.  I checked out a kid friendly picture book from the library, we found a private place to talk, and had the conversation.  I got the expected look of horror and ewwws.  We had an open, honest discussion as we laughed about the humorous pictures in the book.  I felt really good as a mother until she said, "Why did you do that to daddy?!?!"  Ummmmm......maybe I need to try again.

    That is hilarious! I can see Alyssa's face saying that...totally disgusted! I want to know what she thinks you did to Van!! I guess I need the talk too! heheh! CUTE blog! Excited you are joining blog-world!! :0)

    So happy you have a blog now!! I absolutly LOVE that family picture of you guys on the right!! I'll have to find out your photographer :) It is so neat to hear and see what your family is up to and we are so thankful to have you guys just around the block as neighbors!! Can't wait to see/read the next post :)

    Congratulations on taking the big plunge into blog land... and into having "the talk." Wait till she's in high school and college and "the talk" continues... and gets bigger and grayer all the time. :-) You'll survive, and so will she!
